Pakistan Independence

60th ANNIVERSARY

Last Saturday, the High Comission of Pakistan, London put on an event at the square celebrating the 60th anniversary of Pakistan independence.

The event covered aspects of Pakistan, and how it came to be, with a variety of performers. Here is a very short clip of the day below:

Comments:
I'm reading this today (5/11/07) when nasty things are happening in Pakistan and hope that the Dictator will not be allowed to get away with it. But, mmmm, who is going to stop him?... Well, of course, I'm sure the American and British knights in shining armour will come to the rescue - as they are doing in Zimbabwe, China, North Korea, Darfour... I can relax now!

Everything is very open with a clear explanation of the issues. It was really informative. Your site is extremely helpful. Thank you for sharing!
